Ski and snowboard rentals for Lee Canyon
Where to rent skis and snowboards for Lee Canyon: the resort's rental shop, plus Stone Sports and Gravity Sports in Las Vegas, with what each rents.
Updated Oct 23, 2026 · 6 sources
You have two choices for gear: rent at the mountain on the day, or pick it up in Las Vegas the evening before. Renting at Lee Canyon means less to carry and one less stop. Renting in town gives you a fixed price, a fitting without a ski-morning line and, for regulars, season-long packages. Below are the three places we’ve confirmed rent ski or snowboard gear, each checked on its own website on October 22, 2026.
Nobody paid to be on this list, and we haven’t been fitted at any of them. We list what each shop publishes. If you run a shop that rents skis or snowboards in Las Vegas and you’d like to be checked for this page, email us.
At the mountain
Lee Canyon Rental Shop
Where: Ponderosa Base Area. Coming up the road, take the first left-hand turn down into the lower parking lot. What: Skis, snowboards, boots and helmets, in youth and adult sizes. Packages are snowboard plus boots, or skis plus boots. Helmets are $12 extra and the resort says supplies and sizes are limited. Price: Demand-based, “as low as $10 on select days.” Prices rise as your date gets closer and also vary by pick-up time. How to book: Online, after you have a lift ticket or season pass. You choose a pick-up time on the hour from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Rentals, like tickets, can be exchanged for a credit until 11:59 p.m. the night before. Know this: The resort says rentals can sell out on peak weekends and holidays and recommends reserving. It doesn’t rent goggles, gloves or jackets; those are for sale at the resort’s shops. Seasonal rentals are only available with the resort’s Mountaineers or Freeride kids programs. Lee Canyon rentals →
In Las Vegas
Both town shops below are in the southwest valley, which is on the way if you’re coming from Summerlin or the southwest. From the Strip it’s a detour west before heading north on US 95.
Stone Sports
Where: 4965 S Fort Apache Rd, Suite 104, Las Vegas, NV 89148. Hours: Monday to Friday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., closed Sunday. Plan to pick up on Saturday for a Sunday trip. What: Daily and season-long ski and snowboard packages, plus single items.
| Package | Price listed |
|---|---|
| Adult ski (skis, boots, poles) | $35/day |
| Adult snowboard (board, boots, bindings) | $35/day |
| Junior ski or snowboard, 12 and under | $25/day |
| Performance ski | $40/day |
| Season package, November to April | $250 ($350 performance ski) |
| Helmet | $10/day |
Single skis or snowboards are $25 a day for adults, boots $20 and poles $5. A $100 deposit is required on all rentals. How to book: Call or text 702-779-3021 with each rider’s height, weight, boot size and dates. Stone Sports rentals →
Gravity Sports
Where: 9775 W Russell Rd, Suite 130, Las Vegas, NV 89148, in the southwest valley. Phone 702-665-6840. Its locations page says a northwest store is “to be announced.” What: Daily ski and snowboard rentals and season-long leases. Packages include skis or a snowboard, bindings and boots. The site says the shop is open for the 26/27 season, but the daily rental program’s start date is “to be determined,” so call before counting on a daily rental for opening weekend.
| Package | Price listed |
|---|---|
| Basic, adult | $40 first day, $25 each additional day |
| Basic, kids and juniors | $30 first day, $20 each additional day |
| Performance, adult | $50 first day, $40 each additional day |
| Season lease, basic or performance | $300 or $375, back by May 1 |
Good to know: If you pick up on Friday and return on Monday, the shop counts that as a two-day rental; gear is due back by 2 p.m. on the return date. Renters must be 18 or with a legal guardian, everyone being fitted has to be there in person, and rentals are by appointment. Daily rentals take a signed bill of sale and a credit card imprint rather than a cash hold; season leases need a $100 refundable deposit. Gravity Sports rentals →
Looking for Powder and Sun? It’s a long-running snowboard shop on Fort Apache Road, but its website doesn’t list rentals, so it isn’t on this list. See ski and snowboard shops in Las Vegas and Henderson for shops that sell and service gear.
Which to choose
- First time, one day: Renting at Lee Canyon is simplest. Book the rental when you buy your ticket, and pick an early pick-up time so you aren’t waiting while your lesson starts.
- A weekend, or a group: Compare the resort’s price for your date with the town shops’ daily rates. On busy weekends the resort’s demand pricing can be higher; on quiet weekdays it can be lower.
- You’ll go more than six or seven times: A season rental from Stone Sports or a season lease from Gravity Sports can work out cheaper than paying by the day; do the math with the prices above.
- You want to try better gear: Gravity Sports lists a demo performance package. Ask what they have in your size.
Bring your own
Whatever you rent, the resort won’t rent you goggles, gloves or a jacket, and a cotton hoodie gets wet fast. Bring waterproof gloves, goggles or sunglasses, and layers. Lee Canyon’s base is at 8,660 feet and the sun is strong; sunscreen helps even in January. For a full list, see what to pack for your first day.
One more thing about the drive: there’s no cell service going up the mountain, according to the resort. Save your rental confirmation and directions before you leave town. For the rest of the trip, see Lee Canyon lift tickets and getting to Lee Canyon. Renting a board for the first time? Snowboarding at Lee Canyon covers the free beginner lesson and where first-timers start. If you’re taking the gear farther afield, the ski resorts near Las Vegas list compares the other mountains by drive time, and the Lee Canyon guide has the resort’s lifts and terrain.
