Las Vegas has more snow-sports shops than you’d expect for a desert city. The six below each list ski or snowboard gear or service on their own websites, which we checked on October 23, 2026. Hours and services change with the season, so call before you drive across town. Listing order is alphabetical within each section, not a ranking, and nobody paid to be here.

How to choose a shop

Start with what you need:

  • Buying a board, boots or bindings: Powder and Sun and Sin City Snowboards are snowboard specialists. Sin City also sells pre-owned gear; its site says pre-owned items carry a six-month warranty, and it takes in-season trade-ins.
  • Tuning, waxing and repairs: both REI stores list a ski and snowboard shop. Gravity Sports, Powder and Sun and Sin City list service too.
  • Renting for a trip: Stone Sports and Gravity Sports list rentals. Lee Canyon also rents at the resort. See rentals for Lee Canyon for prices and how each works.
  • Clothing and layers: REI carries outdoor clothing; Lee Canyon’s gear guide lists what to wear, and your first ski or snowboard day turns that into a packing list.

The shops

Gravity Sports

Gravity Sports’ locations page lists 9775 W Russell Rd, Ste 130, and says a northwest location is “to be announced.” Its rentals page says it’s open for the 26/27 season for seasonal leases and that the daily rental start date is “to be determined.” Phone 702-665-6840.

Powder and Sun Rideshop

A snowboard and skate shop since 1989, per its site, at 4555 S Fort Apache Rd, Ste 128. Its contact page lists Tuesday to Saturday 11–7, Sunday 11–6, closed Mondays, and phone 702-221-7669. It lists gear and shop service; we didn’t find rentals on its site.

REI Henderson

At 2220 Village Walk Dr, Ste 150, Henderson. The store’s ski and snowboard shop page lists tuning, waxing and repairs, plus used gear and trade-in. Phone (702) 896-7111.

REI Las Vegas (Boca Park)

At 710 S Rampart Blvd in Summerlin. Its ski and snowboard shop page lists tuning, waxing, repairs and binding mounts. Phone (702) 951-4488.

Sin City Snowboards

At 5025 S Eastern Ave, Ste 17. Its site lists new and pre-owned boards, boots and bindings, in-season trade-ins, and service and repair. It also sells vacuum-mount car racks. Phone (702) 762-0713.

Stone Sports

At 4965 S Fort Apache Rd, Ste 104. Its rentals page lists ski and snowboard rental packages with a $100 deposit. Call or text 702-779-3021.

Renting at the mountain vs in town

Renting at Lee Canyon means no gear in the car and someone on hand to adjust it. You need a lift ticket first, and the resort says rentals sell out on busy days. Renting in town means picking up the night before and skipping the morning line, and a multi-day or season lease can cost less if you go often. Rentals for Lee Canyon has the details for each.

The once-a-year gear sale

Every November, the SnowJam ski and snowboard expo comes to the Las Vegas Convention Center. In 2026 it runs Nov 14–15 with an on-site boot-fitting area, and gear returns follow each vendor’s own policy. Dates, tickets and lift-ticket vouchers: SnowJam Las Vegas 2026.

Tune before opening day

If your board or skis sat in a hot garage all summer, a wax before the first day helps. Book early: shops get busy the week before Lee Canyon opens, scheduled for November 20, 2026.
